A gold rectangular purse compact engraved with filigree inlaid with light purple pigment. A small chain loop is attached to the finger clasp where the compact opens on a hinge. Inside, is a lipstick tube engraved, “Melba,” and a powder well with a purple silk puff matching the pigment inlaid in its top. The bottom is engraved, “Melba / Compacts.”
