A gold rectangular double compact engraved with filigree inlaid with light purple pigment. The compact opens on a hinge with a finger clasp. Inside, is a lipstick tube engraved, “Melba,” and a powder well with a purple silk puff matching the pigment inlaid in its top. The bottom is engraved, “Melba / Compacts.”
