Henry Tetlow ran a successful soap company in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His Brother, Daniel Tetlow joined the business where they began selling beauty products in the 1880s. The company is best known for its powders and rouge products. The Tetlow Company produced the brands: Swan Down, Gossamer Complexion Powder, Pearl Plume, Blue Moon, Pussywillow and Sweet Sixteen. Nearing his death in 1889, Henry Tetlow sold his company to his successor John Tetlow, who ran the company until the 1920s.
