| Identifier | In New York, Charles Nessler of Nestle-Le Mur created Nesto false eyelashes for retail and stage. In 1929, Nesto false eyelashes were one of the earliest available retail. There were a range of colors for customers to choose from, and application instructions came with each set. As the popularity of false eyelashes grew, the technology developed. Nesto became more difficult to apply than newer versions of false eyelashes, and they were slowly disappearing from the market in the 1940s. |
