Eugene Rimmel, an innovator in cosmetics and hygiene, founded Rimmel in London, England. He was a well known perfumer and chemist known for many achievements chief among them producing one of the first non toxic commercial mascara products. In marketing, Rimmel coined its motto, “Get the London Look,” and has hired recognizable spokespeople. Today, the company still manufactures cosmetics internationally.
