| Identifier | Johann Ludwig Leichner had a knowledge of chemistry and theater. His background as an opera singer led him to develop a white grease paint for stage. Leichner began selling cosmetics for retail and expanded internationally. World War II destroyed the some of the cosmetics factories, and shortly after, the business was liquidated in some of its international locations. However, the brand continued to produce treatments, cosmetics and educational material until its purchase. |
