Hazel Bishop studied Chemistry and worked as a physician’s assistant before creating a cosmetics line. Bishop is famously known for her lipstick advertising with one of the most expensive campaigns of its time. Later Bishop became part of costly legal battles with her business partner. The business was up and down, but continued to pioneer in both pricing and formula until it was sold in the 1990s.
